Introducing our new product, "POLYPLOID".
This is a unisex brand founded in Berlin, Germany in 2017.
Designer: Isolde Auguste Richly
Designer Isolde Auguste Richly graduated with honors from the University of Art Weissensee in Berlin, and after working as a designer and pattern maker for European fashion brands, she launched her own brand, POLYPLOID.
Polyploid is a chemical term meaning "multiple numbers." Based on the concept of "There are no facts, only interpretations," the brand is experimenting with an experimental approach to bring depth and breadth to its products by developing one item with a fixed outline in three different materials and colors.
Classic style is offered in three categories (A, B, C). Of the items in these categories, category A is inspired by tailored toile and is produced in only one color, ecru.
For B and C, fabrics with completely different nuances will be selected to transform the foundation of A into a new concept and feeling. The color variations will be two colors for B and three colors for C.
The items are made in Germany using European raw materials.
Items made with Japanese fabrics are manufactured in Japan.
Having production located in these two regions allows us to carefully select the best fabrics and manufacturing processes for our collections, and with decades of experience in the industry, our team combines the strengths of Japanese and German handicraft to ensure an innovative, timeless approach across the collections.
