These towels were ordered from a factory in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, that specializes in producing particularly high-quality products.
The yarn is woven after being bleached (using the traditional Imabari method) over a long period of time and effort, so the cotton will expand and gain volume with each wash after you first use it.
The softness will be maintained even without adding fabric softener at the end of the wash.
