The lowest temperature ever recorded in Japan was -41 degrees Celsius, recorded in Asahikawa, Hokkaido in 1902.
This down jacket was designed to be able to withstand extreme cold.
Based on the classic down parka from the 1970s, it has been modernized in a number of ways.
To reduce weight, the outer material is made of recycled nylon with a water-repellent finish.
This fabric has a high density and a wonderful spun-like texture.
The filling is packed with 850 fill power mother goose down.
It is much lighter than the vintage version.
The quilt stitching that holds the baffle in place is welded so there are no pinholes.
There is little down blowing out, and it feels very smooth against the skin.
The characteristic round Velcro has been replaced with a magnet wrapped in felt.
This prevents knitwear or scarves from getting caught and causing damage.
With this down jacket, you can stay warm from the dry, cold winds of the city to traveling to extremely cold areas.
