In 1979, New Balance developed the CT300 model, a tennis shoe incorporating the latest technology at the time.
This model was born by incorporating the development themes of running shoes, "fit," "comfort," "stability," and "durability," into tennis shoes. The collaboration model, CT400, was developed as the latest successor to the CT300. The CT400 is the latest model scheduled to be released by New Balance from January 2019 (it is not a reprint of a past model), and the collaboration with JUNYA MAN features smooth leather and mesh materials not available from New Balance (NB is available in two materials, all smooth leather and suede x mesh), black stitching on the part connecting the body and sole, and the brand logo design on the insole.
