The fabric is made from alpaca, and the beautiful silhouette that falls neatly all the way down to the sleeves is its appeal. There is no ribbing at the hem, so you can enjoy a relaxed silhouette. Another feature is that the silhouette from the side has a beautiful rounded shape at the back. The front zipper is double-zippered, so you can arrange the way you wear it. We also recommend layering it with an alpaca knit for a coordinated look.

This tweed fabric is made from undyed Peruvian alpaca yarn, spun into yarn by Towa Woolen Mills in Ichinomiya, Owari, which specializes in spinning alpaca yarn, and woven on a Schonherr loom, one of the oldest shuttle looms still in existence in the same region. Kuzuri Woolen Mills, which owns this loom, is a long-established company that has been in business since the Taisho era. Even today, they continue to weave high-quality fabrics using only Schonherr looms. 100% alpaca fabrics, which use alpaca for both the warp and weft, are difficult to weave unless you are a craftsman who understands the characteristics of the material, and patterned fabrics like those used in Text are particularly rare even on a global scale.
