Designer Nishino worked closely with a fabric store to create a fabric that was designed to replicate the fabric of work pants used in German coal mines in the 1920s and 1930s.
It is extremely difficult to recreate the worn-out look of a piece that is nearly 100 years old.
We ended up with cellulose fabric (regenerated fiber).
Cellulose is woven at a very high density and then given a special washing process.
This gives it a unique feel.
It has a unique fabric texture that drapes and sways with every movement.
