The yarn is made in Ibara, a denim production area.
<br>The warp yarn has unevenness and strong neps, and is dyed with a dark indigo dye.

The fabric is in a woven state, called kibata,
It is only sanforized (shrink-proofed) using a special method.
This is different from the usual shrink prevention method.
