These recycled wool slacks are made using the technique of Ke-nana (so named because it is a blend of 70% wool and 30% other fibers), a fiber regeneration cycle that involves grinding up old clothes and cutting waste that have been spun in the Bishu region for over 50 years, and reviving them as wool. The thin woven fabric is double-layered, and only the surface fabric has a vintage-like ripped and used look.
The ancient technique of recycled wool, called Keshichi, is used to add distressing to the fabric that has been restored using this technique. However, there is no rule that says you can't add damage just because you're recycling. Recycling isn't cool, but I think it's important to make cool clothes first. This is our way of doing things.
