Leather slip-on
Leather slip-on
COLOR
・RUSSET BROWN
・BLACK
Made on the same last as the previously released officer shoes.
The cinched waist shape is classic and beautiful.
The silver side is made of real 'Vacchetta' leather, and the suede side is made of Italian leather whose surface has been crushed with paraffin.
Both leathers are highly expressive, and their appeal is maximized in this simple product.
The details are also well thought out, with fasteners made of waxed linen thread and the heel lining made of suede to prevent slipping.
BADALASSI CARLO is a tannery that inherits the "Vacchetta method", which is said to have a history of over 1,000 years in the Santa Croce region of Italy.
By processing the leather for an extended period of time using cow leg oil made by boiling cow shin bones and heel bones, the leather is able to have a high-quality appearance that does not easily lose its oils. The leather used by OLD JOE this time is called Pueblo, and after this tanning and processing, the surface is scratched by hand to give it a rich look. Pueblo refers to the dwellings made by Native American Indians with sun-dried bricks, and this leather has a rough look just like that.
