This is a collaboration item with Karimoku, a leading Japanese wooden furniture manufacturer with a 76-year history.
I wanted to create a wooden sole that would conform to the shape of the foot and make the most of the material.
This sole was born from that idea.
The sole is made from solid maple wood carved into a three-dimensional shape, providing an unprecedented level of comfort and the feel of wood as a material.
Karimoku Furniture Co., Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of wooden furniture in Japan, leading the furniture industry with high quality furniture and designs that make the most of natural wood.
In the company's 76-year history, there have been only a few collaborations, but this will be the first time the company has attempted a project with a different industry, such as fashion.
