The weaving method of satin is usually called shusuori.
Back satin is a fabric with a glossy backside, as the reverse side of the fabric is woven in a satin style.
It is also durable, and has been used extensively as a standard material for military items.
A distinctive feature of back satin is that the long threads on the reverse side make it soft and smooth to the touch, and it also has a good sliding quality.
Since more of the weft threads are visible on the front side, the texture of the weft threads is easily visible, and even with a high density and high weave count, the fabric has a soft feel.
The biggest challenge in developing this material was how to recreate the tasteful uneven yarn of the product it pays homage to, using the Suvin cotton used for the weft.
There are many existing uneven yarns and slub yarns, but particularly thick count yarns use cotton with short fiber length or cotton called fallen cotton.
This yarn is custom-made from 100% Supima cotton.
Reproducing the unique unevenness of the fabric is difficult in terms of the details, and we had to make several adjustments when spinning the prototype yarn before we were finally able to create it.
The warp thread is 20/1 and the weft thread is Supima uneven thread 8/1, which creates a wonderful texture.
This is also a regular process that deliberately does not use any unnecessary resin in order to bring out the texture of the Supima cotton.
The more you wash it, the better the texture improves, and it is an elegant, sturdy material that you can enjoy as it changes over time.

The new model has a wide straight silhouette, urea buttons, double-stitched pockets, etc.
The design and details are based on the US ARMY UTILITY PANTS (baker pants) from the US military in the early 1970s.
