What is 37.5® Technology?
37.5 Technology is a dynamic, moisture-triggered thermoregulation technology.
It's named 37.5 Technology because it helps maintain your body's core temperature at an ideal 37.5 degrees and the microclimate next to your skin at an ideal relative humidity of 37.5%.
The patented 37.5 Active Microparticles uses active particles made from volcanic sand that contain billions of microscopic pores, greatly increasing the surface area of the material.
These particles absorb infrared (IR) light emitted by the human body, and this light becomes the energy of the particles. In the absence of moisture (sweat), i.e. when you are cool, the particles can retain this energy and warm you. In the presence of moisture (sweat vapor), i.e. when you are hot, the particles use this energy to push moisture out of your clothes. Without these active particles, there would be no reason for moisture to leave the microclimate until the relative humidity is much higher than the comfort level.
The 37.5 active particles also capture odor molecules and release them during washing and drying, and are permanently embedded in the fibers so they won't come off during washing.
