・VINTAGE INDIGO 1977 WASH
Various classic 5-pocket jeans have been combined into one denim piece.
This model features mysterious details that do not belong to any particular era, such as the shallow rise of the 60s, the denim texture of the 70s, the use of different stitch colors and different fabric lining on the pockets of the 40s, and the natural taper from the thigh to the hem of the 50s.
These jeans are like time travel, blending the characteristics of each era into a modern construction.
Fabric
This model is characterized by strong vertical fading, but since the color fading of the threads is irregular and has various shapes, such as long and short unevenness, it is not possible to create this complex look with just one type of thread. In order to achieve this, several types of threads with different counts and uneven shapes are mixed in different proportions and woven on a shuttle loom.
I think that at that time, yarn from various lots was probably mixed together.
Therefore, even though they are all early 66 models, I think there are still large individual differences.
As for the color, it is a pure bluish color (100% synthetic indigo).
As for the final processing, it is a patented technology at the Kojima dyeing factory, so I cannot go into details, but the indigo dyed using a special process is then matured into a deep dead-stock blue, as if the fabric had been stored in a warehouse for years.
A distinctive feature of the processing is that it gives off a nerdy, expressionless color fading that resembles the natural fading of repeated washing, rather than the masculine color fading that comes from wearing vintage clothing continuously from the time it was worn.
