This is a reproduction of a rare 1930s US NAVY denim jacket with a simple design reminiscent of a box shirt.
The short body length has been adjusted to a comfortable length, and the silhouette is slightly loose.
The shoulder slope is stronger than the original and the sleeves are simple barrel sleeves, but they have been slightly curved to create a more three-dimensional look.
The outer fabric is made of a high density thick weft thread used for 13oz class fabric, while the warp thread is an original fabric that uses cotton waste and is woven at a high density to give it the neppy feel that is a result of the immature spinning techniques of the 1930s.
The hand-rubbed finish recreates the dark, mint condition aging of the piece.
*The original tack buttons are made of iron and may discolor or rust over time.
